Learn to Knit
Become an independent and confident knitter in three weeks. Learn to cast on, knit, purl, tink (back stitches out to correct mistakes), read a simple pattern, bind off, and add fringe. Students will learn different stitch combinations and complete a fun and chunky scarf from start to finish. Max size is 6 students.

Skill Level: Total beginner
Dates and Times: Tues. July 24/31 and August 7th – 6 pm to 7:30 pm
Location: Shalimar Yarns Studio, New Market, MD
Supply List: 2 skein of Breathless Cush or other chunky smooth wool/wool blend (total required 300 yards), US size 11 needles – either circular or straight is fine, although we recommend 10” straight wood or bamboo needles. Students receive 20% off yarn for class and a 15% discount on yarns for the duration of the 3-week course.

Cancellation Policy: Classes are available on a first-come, first serve basis. Payment is due at time of registration.
Refund Policy: In case of class cancellation, we will refund 100% of class fees. We accept cancellations up to 72 hours prior to class time with a Shalimar product credit, otherwise all class purchases are final. Classes with fewer than two students may be cancelled or rescheduled due to insufficient registration. Unless otherwise indicated, our classes are for adults only. Your registration is valid for the dates listed in the description and may not be transferred to other class dates.
Learn to Crochet
Grab your hook and get on board the crochet train! Learn the correct way to hold your yarn and maintain tension, along with all the stitches and techniques necessary to make a quick and cute pair of fingerless hand warmers. Max class size is 6
